Palestinian Scholars Praise Lebanese Resistance
The organization said in a statement that it stands with the people of Lebanon against the Zionist regime and appreciates the Lebanese resistance forces’ backing for the people of Palestine, especially the Gaza Strip, Quds Press reported.
The statement also called on the Lebanese people to open the door of their home to the refugees displaced as a result of the ongoing aggression launched by the Israeli regime against Lebanon.
It said the Zionist aggression should cause the strengthening of unity in the face of the Israeli regime.
The statement came as there has been a major escalation in the fighting between Israel and Lebanon’s Hezbollah resistance movement.
On Monday, the occupation’s military widened its bombing campaign on Lebanon and is mulling a ground invasion.
The death toll from Israeli aerial assaults across Lebanon since October has reached 1,247 with some 5,278 injured. In retaliation, Hezbollah has fired barrages of rockets into the occupied territories.
